The foundation I stand on
I've watched small and large companies alike take on too much, spread themselves thin, and end up unsatisfied with everything. With a dozen conflicting efforts running at once, nobody can tell what's working and what isn't. Competing goals turn into competing teams, disputes, and drift.
The other side is what I've seen work: when goals are aligned and everyone is moving toward the same target, success happens. Not magic, not luck. Alignment.
The method that comes out of all this: evaluate, prioritize a few things that matter, stabilize, then move on. Plain reasons tied to what's good for the customer, the people doing the work, and the business.
What I'm building toward
The easy button for a business. A complete operating system, so an owner can bring their business to Stepwise and get everything from foundation to growth to smooth operations without juggling five vendors and a pile of jargon.
Simple on the outside, systematized on the inside. Partner happiness and end-customer happiness are the same project. When a business's customers are excited to be part of it, that business is healthy. That's the outcome I work toward.
On AI
AI can generate 25 websites in a night. It can't decide which site a business needs, take accountability when something breaks, or sit with an owner and figure out what success means to them. I use AI aggressively to expand what one person can deliver. I'm not competing with the tools. I'm the person who knows what to do with them.
